Canada

Hello family & friends!! Hopefully this blog will help us keep in contact, now that we are, sadly, even farther away.  I am not the most techy type, but this will be a good challenge for me.  We are currently in a Saskatoon, SK, Canada as Eric has started as assistant professor of agribusiness management at the University of Saskatchewan.  Our move has been long, but we have tried to see the positives, despite huge moving issues.  Tomorrow the plan is to reunite with all of our belongings that have been in a storage shed in IL since June 6th & we will be able to move into our rental house.  The estimated delivery here was supposed to be June 16-23, with the company having "trouble finding a driver."  We were able to spend 2 wonderful weeks in Colfax visiting & traveled to Las Vegas & Banff, Alberta (both for conferences) prior to spending the last 12 nights at this hotel.  We are extremely tired of eating at restaurants, although it provided us with a good way to explore the city.  Tomorrow it will great to start getting into a routine, eat like normal people, practice hobbies, and fully settle into our new home.  We are excited to share our findings, challenges, and enjoyments of living in Canada along with the differences in Canadian vs. American lifestyle, our new interests, & daily lives.
P.S.  I will work on the layout & add photos to make this a bit more interesting.
